Each, as Carolyn Myss teaches us in her book, Archetypes, “that lead you to discovering your true self who longs to be embraced without hesitation or fear.” So why wait? Let’s get this magnificence started!
In my mind, two that are both the same and both birthed from the archetypal Caring family with a large dose of Hero. Whether you know from the time you are a little or you are a mother late in life who never had motherhood it in your dreams. If Mother is your archetype, the pattern has always been yours. Whether we are biological mothers or not. As Oprah said, “Biology is the least of what makes one a mother. And she, an archetypal mother to millions would know. With the woman who becomes Mother comes a new power to do the impossible. And if you don’t believe it, recall accounts of mothers, who have in crisis and fueled by love, lifted a car off of their children. The Mother becomes Miracle Worker serving miracles up daily; big and small.
Albert Einstein said: “There are two ways to live; you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” The Miracle Worker is drawn like a magnet to door number two. Your archetypal families are predominantly the Caring and Spritual. You believe in miracles, look for them, work for them and aren’t satisfied to let a day go by without being on the lookout for at least one. Even the tiniest; like say the fact that you are alive! You see miracles, make them and give them away; the more the merrier. And oh yes, the miracle of the power of gratitude lives on top of your list.
You don’t have to be David Copperfield, but wouldn’t it be fun if for fifteen minutes you were? Now you see it, now you don’t. Pull a rabbit from your hat, transfix your audience, and most, amaze yourself discovering the greatest magic of all lives inside you. That’s who you are. Your families are Creative and Visionary. Whether your other archetypes include Mother, Miracle Worker, or another of my personal favorites. Musician! Magic is your game. “Ah, music,” he said, wiping his eyes. “A magic beyond all we know.” That’s from “Harry Potter.” And if Harry doesn’t know Magic, who does?
As the famous quote from French mystic, Teilhard de Chardin goes, “You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.” You are an everyday Mystic. Like a lamp, you work best when plugged into a Spiritual connection. It is your power outlet and inlet of questions and answers that you listen for intently, take in, and often lead others back with what you have heard and seen there. If this is you, your nature is steeped in the Spiritual and Visionary archetypal families. Love that about yourself. Let it be.
And as for us all Archetypes across the alphabet, welcome to your soul’s deep level. And please, let the good times roll!
With grace and gratitude,
