Why wait? Here are four W’s.

Wanderlust
You’ve got the travel bug in you and the diagnosis is incurable. Good news for you, since by nature you thrive on feeling at home in any spot on the globe. While other archetypal families and homebody friends have giant question marks about your meanderings, you don’t let the car, train, or plane doors slam shut without you. You’re on board with J.R.R. Tolkien, who wrote, “All that is gold does not glitter. And all those who wander are not lost.” It’s not that you don’t have a permanent zip code, but you can’t settle for a life without the freedom to follow your passion. Happy Trails!

Wedding Planner
The iconic Audrey Hepburn said, “If I get married, I want to be very married.” A great mantra for the Wedding Planner. You’re about seeing to it that the big day is no slouchy affair, whether it’s a potluck or sit-down for 500. Your archetypal families are Creative and Caregiver, and you feel the love making sure all the details amount to a perfect piece of cake. Your rehearsal of “I dos” began when you were six and continues with each first date your BFF goes on. You’re a natural.

Wizard
If Wizard’s your name, magic’s your game. Now you see it, now you don’t. And know it or not, you’ve always  had It. Somehow you just know we are more than what we seem. Whether Muggle or mogul like David Geffen, who confessed that he never went to business school, saying “I was just bumbling through a lot of my life like the guy behind the curtain in The Wizard of Oz,” And then poof! Your Creative and Visionary roots make magic even if you never went to Wizard school. A female Wizard is called a Witch, but that doesn’t faze you. You may seem a bit of an outcast, but it didn’t stop the headmistress of Hogwarts School, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or  Lady Gaga, who was over the moon to receive the ruby slippers made for “The Wizard of Oz.” Be witched.

Witness
You may not often find yourself on the Witness stand (“your Honor”). But by nature you are always on the lookout for the bigger picture. Your roots are the Visionary and the Intellectual. Something about you has you and others asking “What did you see? What do you think?” The Witness and brilliant comedian Louis C.K. said,“Life isn’t something you possess. It’s something you take part in, and you witness.

Carolyn Myss, in her book Archetypes: Who Are You? bears witness for us to discover that “archetypes are the psychic lenses through which we view ourselves and the world around us.” As a Witness you have the great honor to lovingly bear witness to the experience of another, whether it brings joy or pain. It is a most loving gift to also receive.

But still, none will match our dedication to bearing Witness to our own lives — to being fully awake so we don’t miss a precious moment.

So who’s next to awaken to who you truly are?

With grace and gratitude,
Cristina
