Starting out in Monterey you will travel south to Morro Bay taking you through Big Sur, which is home to several state parks including Garrapata, Pfeiffer, and Point Lobos State Reserve.

You will have the chance to not only see the huge sculpted faces of some of our most recognized presidents of past, but you can also roam the visitor’s center and watch a video of the making of Mt. Rushmore.

 Route 66 – 85-mi Kingman, AZ > Seligman, AZ

The iconic Route 66, which has been featured in countless TV shows, movies, songs and books, is a must see for its eclectic general stores, neon and hand-painted signs and mom-and-pop diners. The original stretch of highway went from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA, but most of it’s been replaced with the modern Interstate Highway system we now are so familiar with. However, if you travel from Kigman, AZ to Seligman AZ, you will get a glimpse of an America long ago.

Nothing is quite as soothing as drowning your stress into a naturally heated mineral filled pool. Sit back and relax while the thoughts of bad days gone by drift away from your memory. For this trip you will start in Albuquerque, NM and head north to Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs, the pinnacle of all New Mexico hot springs and also the oldest in the country. Ojo Caliente houses eleven different thermal pools including a mud pool. Each pool is filled with a different combination of mineral waters that come from a volcanic aquifer located below the earth’s surface. Each combination is believed to be very good for a person’s health and well being.
