Will you do anything for a buck? What about things that are undignified, dangerous, or just plain icky: if someone pays you enough, will you do them anyway? Known as the oldest profession, prostitution is classically defined as sex-for-money type of transaction, though that is not the only kind of prostitution there is. A broader definition in the Merriam-Webster dictionary sites: “the corrupt use of one’s talents for personal or financial gain.” 

The Whore takes on jobs or assignments that are distasteful or a poor match for his or her talents because he needs something. Maybe it’s money, or a good grade or some kind of social favor. Whatever it is, the Whore is willing to pretend his or her face off in order to make it happen. And when it comes to role playing, the Whore will give the Actor type a run for the money. The Whore will act excited when he’s not, pretend to like people she doesn’t, and interact in an entirely fake way until the pay off comes.

A Happy Whore
The Whore often longs for a better lot in life, but once sucked into the world of prostitution it’s hard to get out. Like the Great Pretender, the Whore will smile even while inwardly in terrible pain. Somehow the money that the Whore earns in exchange for his or her talents never seems to improve things the way the Whore hopes it will.

Whore Entourage
The Whore goes where the money is and targets the Queen Bee, King He,  Prince, Princess, Rock Star, Athlete, and Entertainer. Whores who want social favors may target the Class Leader. Whores are commonly exploited by the Vampire, Brat, Cheater, Loner and Law Breaker.

Whore in Love
The Whore can’t be trusted in love because his or her partner never really knows how the relationships stands without the financial piece of it. Often the Whore will hang out with people that he or she would have nothing to do with if it weren’t for the money or whatever the equivalent to money is in the given situation.

Whore Challenge
Until the Whore stops trading integrity for shallow, momentary gains personal fulfillment will continue to elude this type. But how can a person gain self-esteem while committing demeaning acts? This is the conundrum of the Whore.

How to Play It
If someone you know has this tendency or you see the tendency in yourself, realize you’re selling yourself short. You are capable of more than you know. You’ll find out the truth of this once you stop cheapening your gifts through superficial exchanges.
